This year, the brilliant curators over at The Visual Commentary on Scripture have prepared an Advent exhibition for us. Each day in December brings a new instalment with three pieces of artwork, a biblical passage, and freshly commissioned commentaries for a seamless weaving together of art history, theology, and biblical scholarship. It all starts today with three renderings of The Annunciation from Luke 1.
As with every VCS artwork, the image resolution is very high, enabling viewers to zoom in to see the finest detail. If you haven’t yet discovered The Visual Commentary on Scripture from King’s College London, let this Advent be your way in.
